The Bucegi mountains are located in central Romania, a few hours away from Bucharest. It’s highest point is peak Omu at 2,505m (8,219ft).

Explore the beauty of this national park with a train adventure from Bucharest, a cable car, visits to a Monastery, the fountainhead of one of the largest rivers in the South East of Romania, and a long cave for some speleology experience.

Itinerary

  • Book your flights to Bucharest for Friday

  • If you book at the same time as everyone else get a free transfer. Otherwise grab a taxi to your accomodation in Bucharest's Old Town

​

  • Saturday morning: meet your guide and the rest of the group at Bucharest Northern Train Station (Gara de Nord)

​

  • Saturday and Sunday, the Hike

​

  • You'll be back to the accomodation in Bucharest for Sunday evening and catch your flight back on Monday morning

Sleeping and eating

Friday Night: Accomodation (Hotel or AirBnb) in the Historical Old Town of Bucharest, range of pubs are restaurants for food and drinks

Saturday: Padina Chalet with its own restaurant

Sunday Evening: Back at the AirBnb in the Historical Old Town of Bucharest, range of pubs are restaurants for food and drinks
